Most donuts in 100 seconds: Terry Grant breaks Guinness world record

PLYMOUTH, UK--British stunt driver Terry Grant was able to make 39 full rotations using a replica 1937 Ford Sedan hot rod at 5/8-scale modified with a 1,200-cc motorcycle engine, at the Vospers car dealership in Plymouth,
setting the new world record for the Most donuts (spins) in 100 seconds, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the most consecutive donuts (spins) in a car is 280 and was achieved by Jamie Morrow (UK) driving a Westfield Sport 1600 at the Silverstone Race Circuit in Bedfordshire, UK.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most cars performing donuts simultaneously; it is 107, achieved by the Latvian Drift Association (Latvia) at the Bikernieki Sports Complex, near Riga, Latvia.

Terry Grant, holder of 19 world records, entertained the crowds at the Vospers car dealership in Plymouth by setting the record for the number of 'donuts' – or spins – in a specially modified car.

Terry, aged 43, who has used his skills in a string of film and TV stunts, was invited down to the dealership to promote a sale.

To set his brand new world record the showman spun his car 360 degrees a total of 39 times in 100 seconds.
